Before you begin, be sure to read the Youth Council Charter.

Your application will be reviewed by the Mayor and City Council. We will contact you by July 23 to let you know if you are selected.

As a member of the Takoma Park Youth Council, you will bring the perspective of young people in the community to the City Council and City staff. The Youth Council will focus on areas of importance to young people, bring forth issues of concern to be discussed by the Youth Council, and suggest ideas for young people to participate in the community.
